Sin City Bar tries to be a slightly better version of a Soi 6 bar, and mostly succeeds. The red and black interior, better-quality lighting, and more intentional decor create a marginally more sophisticated atmosphere than the standard open-front beer bar.

The Second Road location works in its favor. The Beach Road end of Soi 6 gets the heaviest foot traffic and the most aggressive solicitation. By the time you reach the Second Road end, the pace has calmed noticeably. Sin City Bar benefits from this calmer environment.

Prices are slightly above the Soi 6 average. Beer at 110 THB is 20 to 30 THB more than the cheapest bars, and lady drinks at 180 THB are 10 to 20 THB above baseline. The bar fine at 500 THB is at the top of the standard range. These aren't significant premiums, and the upgraded atmosphere justifies the difference.

The workers are less aggressive in their approach than at the busier Beach Road bars. Inside, the pace is more relaxed, and there's less pressure to rush through the experience. The darker interior also provides more privacy than the wide-open frontages of most Soi 6 bars.

Sin City Bar is a good option for visitors who want the Soi 6 price point without the Soi 6 chaos. It's not dramatically different from its neighbors, but the attention to atmosphere sets it a notch above the baseline.
