Dragon A Go Go
Dragon A Go Go occupies the former Opium venue space on Walking Street, rebranded with an Asian dragon theme that extends through the decor, signage, and stage design. The venue seats around 50 customers across a main stage area and a raised seating section. Dragon motifs, red and gold color schemes, and themed lighting create a visually distinct interior. Around 15 to 25 dancers work each shift, with shows that incorporate the dragon theme through costumes and choreography. The rebrand from Opium was completed in recent years, and the venue has established its own identity separate from its predecessor. Drink prices are in the upper-mid range for Walking Street, and the themed environment justifies a slight premium over the bars with standard interiors. Dragon A Go Go appeals to visitors who want themed entertainment beyond the generic go-go bar format.

Full Review
Dragon A Go Go takes the standard go-go bar and wraps it in a theme that actually works. The red and gold interior, dragon motifs, and Asian-inspired lighting design create a visual environment that stands apart from the generic neon-and-black aesthetic of most Walking Street bars.
The themed shows are the highlight. Dancers perform in dragon-inspired costumes with choreography that incorporates the theme elements. The production quality varies by night, with weekend shows receiving more investment than weeknight performances. At their best, the shows are entertaining and visually creative. At their average, they're still a cut above the standard stage rotation.
The former Opium space has been well-renovated. The layout flows naturally, with a main stage visible from most seats and a raised section that provides a wider view. The sound system handles both the show music and the between-show dance tracks without issue.
Pricing is above average for Walking Street. Beer at 170 THB and lady drinks at 210 THB carry a 10 to 20 THB premium over the cheaper bars. Bar fines at 1,500 to 2,000 THB are in the standard range. The themed experience justifies the small price difference.
Dragon A Go Go won't replace Windmill as the go-to bar for lineup chasers, but for visitors who want something visually distinctive and theatrical, it's one of Walking Street's more interesting options.
