Twister Bar
Twister Bar sits on the second floor of Nana Plaza, identifiable by its rotating circular stage that gives the bar its name. The venue holds around 60 seats arranged in a horseshoe around the stage, with the DJ booth elevated in the back corner. On a busy night, 15 to 20 dancers rotate through sets that last about 10 minutes each. The sound system is louder than most of its neighbors, leaning into high-energy pop and dance tracks. The interior uses blue and purple LED strips that shift color throughout the evening. Twister draws a younger crowd compared to the more traditional go-go bars on the same floor, partly because of the music selection and partly because the drink prices sit just below the complex average. The bar opened in the mid-2010s after a renovation of a previous venue and has maintained a steady following since. Staff are attentive without being aggressive, and the mamasan runs a tight operation. The rotating stage is genuinely unique within the complex and gives the performers more visibility than a standard linear stage.

Full Review
Twister Bar is one of those Nana Plaza venues that does something slightly different and benefits from it. The rotating stage is more than a gimmick; it means every seat in the house gets a front-row view at some point during each rotation cycle. This sounds like a small thing, but in a complex where most bars have a flat stage against one wall, it changes the dynamic.
The drink prices are reasonable by Nana Plaza standards. A Singha runs 150 THB, which is 10 to 20 THB below what you'll pay at the flagship bars on the same floor. Lady drinks are 180 THB, again slightly under the average. The bar fine of 700 THB is at the low end for the complex. None of these savings are dramatic, but they add up over an evening.
The crowd skews younger than venues like Rainbow or Billboard, both in terms of the dancers and the customers. Weekend nights bring a mix of tourists and younger expats. Weeknights are quieter and the atmosphere is more relaxed, with staff happy to chat between drink orders. The mamasan keeps the operation professional; bills have been accurate on every visit, and there's no high-pressure upselling.
The main downside is the noise level. The DJ booth sits close to the seating area and the volume runs higher than neighboring bars. If you want conversation, this isn't the spot. But if you want energy and a good view of the shows, Twister delivers.
