Deja Vu
Deja Vu sits near the Soi 23 entrance of Soi Cowboy, occupying a two-story building that gives it more floor space than most of its neighbors. The ground floor runs a standard go-go bar format with a central stage, bar seating, and around 30 seats. The upper level operates as a lounge with sofas, lower lighting, and a quieter atmosphere for conversation. Around 15 to 20 dancers work each shift, splitting their time between both floors. The dual-format setup is Deja Vu's distinguishing feature; visitors can choose between the energy of the ground-floor stage and the relative calm of the upper lounge. Drink prices are at the standard Soi Cowboy level, and the service is attentive on both floors. The Soi 23 location puts it near the main entrance arch, catching foot traffic from visitors entering the street.

Full Review
Deja Vu's two-floor setup solves a common Soi Cowboy problem. The go-go bars are fun, but they're loud, and after an hour the volume and energy can become tiring. Having an upstairs lounge where you can retreat without leaving the venue is a genuinely useful feature.
The ground floor is standard Soi Cowboy fare. A central stage, colored lighting, music that runs louder than conversation level, and dancers rotating through sets. The quality is consistent with the mid-range bars on the strip. Nothing spectacular, nothing disappointing.
The upper floor is where Deja Vu distinguishes itself. Sofas replace bar stools, the lighting is dimmer, and the music is kept at a level where normal speech works. Workers move between floors, so you're not limited to whoever happens to be upstairs when you arrive. It's the kind of setup that works well for longer stays, letting you shift between watching shows and having actual conversations.
Prices are standard for the soi. Beer at 160 THB, lady drinks at 200 THB, and a bar fine of 1,000 THB are all within the normal range. The bills on both floors have been accurate in my experience.
The Soi 23 location brings heavy foot traffic, which fills the ground floor early on weekends. If you want the upstairs lounge to yourself, arrive before 21:00.
