Full Review
Classmates KTV occupies the mid-to-upper tier of Manila's KTV scene, priced above Ermita venues but below the high-end operations in BGC. The school theme is light, limited to some classroom signage and a few yearbook-style photos on the walls. It does not overwhelm the main purpose, which is karaoke.
The room I used was on the second floor, a medium-sized space for about six people. The karaoke system had a responsive touchscreen with a search function that worked well. The song library was extensive, with current releases available alongside the classics. The sound quality was good, with adjustable volume and a basic echo effect.
Hostess services were offered at reception. Two women were available at 1,000 PHP each. The mamasan explained the pricing clearly and did not push when I said I was considering it. I ended up booking one companion for the session. She was familiar with the karaoke system and had a genuinely good singing voice, which added to the experience.
The drink-and-room package at 3,500 PHP for two hours with a beer bucket was decent value compared to the a la carte pricing. Ordering room, drinks, and hostess separately would have cost more. The final bill matched the quoted price with no surprises.
Classmates KTV is a solid choice for the Makati area. It does not have the character of the cheaper Ermita KTVs, but the equipment, cleanliness, and transparency are superior.
