Sky Trax

Walking Street, Angeles City

Sky Trax is one of the few proper multi-level nightclubs on Walking Street, offering a dance club experience rather than the go-go bar format that dominates the strip. The venue occupies two floors with a DJ booth, laser lights, a dance floor on the main level, and a VIP section upstairs with bottle service. The sound system is the best on Walking Street, with proper club-grade speakers and a sub-bass setup that you can feel through the floor. DJs play a mix of EDM, hip-hop, and K-pop, reflecting the mixed Korean and Western clientele. The dance floor fills up after midnight on weekends, making Sky Trax the go-to option for visitors who want to dance rather than sit and watch. There is no GRO system and no bar fines. Freelancers do come here, but the venue is primarily a nightclub. Cover charge is 200 PHP on weekends, which includes one drink. Beer costs 100 PHP, cocktails run 200 to 250 PHP, and bottle service starts at 3,000 PHP for local spirits.

Full Review

Sky Trax is what Walking Street would look like if it were built today instead of evolving from a military bar strip. The venue has proper nightclub infrastructure: a sound system with deep bass, a laser and LED light show, a DJ booth positioned above the dance floor, and a VIP mezzanine level with bottle service.

I arrived at 11:30 PM on a Saturday and found the venue about a quarter full. By 1 AM, the dance floor was packed with maybe 100 people moving to a mix of EDM and K-pop. The DJ was competent, transitioning smoothly between genres and reading the room well. The Korean visitors responded to K-pop tracks, while Western visitors gravitated toward the EDM segments.

The crowd was noticeably younger than the go-go bar clientele outside, mostly in their twenties and thirties. Several groups of Filipino women were also present, adding a demographic you rarely see in the Walking Street go-go bars. The atmosphere felt like a normal nightclub rather than an entertainment district venue.

Beer at 100 PHP and cocktails at 200 to 250 PHP are slightly above go-go bar prices but reasonable for a nightclub. The 200 PHP weekend cover charge includes a drink, which effectively makes the entrance free. Sky Trax fills a gap on Walking Street for anyone who prefers dancing to sitting in a go-go bar booth. If that is you, this is the only real option on the strip.

The Neighborhood

Sky Trax is on Walking Street near the other entertainment venues. It draws a later crowd, with most visitors arriving after midnight from the surrounding go-go bars.
