Baccara is the kind of place you end up at after you have already visited the big names and want something less intense. The open front means you can see the setup from the street, which removes any guesswork about what you are walking into.
The interior is straightforward: a stage with a pole, booth seats, a bar counter, and fluorescent accents. Nothing about the decor tries to impress. The dancers rotate through sets of two or three at a time, performing to whatever the DJ is playing. On the night I visited, the roster had about 18 women, most in their early to mid-twenties.
Pricing is honest. Beer at 75 PHP and lady drinks at 250 PHP are below the Walking Street average. The bar fine of 2,500 to 3,000 PHP is among the more affordable options on Fields Avenue proper. The mamasan was upfront about everything, and I was not pushed to buy additional drinks for uninvited company.
The crowd was older on average, mostly expats and returning visitors who clearly knew the staff. Conversation was easy at the volume level the bar maintains. Baccara is not going to wow anyone with production value, but it delivers a straightforward experience at fair prices. If you have already done the big bars and want to settle somewhere comfortable, this is a solid pick.

Baccara is on the main Fields Avenue strip east of the Walking Street pedestrian section. Smaller beer bars and restaurants line both sides of the road in this stretch. The Clarkton Hotel area is a short walk away.
