My Bar Blok M
My Bar Blok M is one of the longer-running nightlife venues in the Blok M shopping and entertainment strip, operating as a compact nightclub with a proper sprung dance floor and a resident DJ booth. The venue plays R&B, Indo-pop, and mainstream dance, drawing a regular local crowd of office workers in their twenties and thirties plus a small share of expats who know the area. Drinks sit in the mid-range for South Jakarta, and entry is typically free on weeknights and 50000 to 100000 IDR on Fridays and Saturdays. The atmosphere reads as a mid-tier neighborhood club rather than a destination venue. Some ladies' companion activity exists around the bar perimeter, consistent with the broader Blok M scene, but the dance floor remains the primary focus.

Insider Tip
Weeknights are cheaper and less crowded; Wednesday is a reliable R&B night with a good mix of regulars. Cards work but ATMs in Blok M can be temperamental late at night, so carry cash as a backup. Expect some approaches from LC staff at the bar; a polite no ends the interaction without issue.
Full Review
My Bar Blok M is a venue that has outlasted several of its neighbors by staying consistent rather than reinventing itself. The room is mid-sized and well-proportioned, with the DJ booth positioned so the crowd on the floor faces it directly. The bar runs along one side and is serviceable rather than stocked with premium spirits. House pours dominate the back bar, which is fine given the price point.
I stopped in on a Wednesday and the floor was maybe a third full by midnight, almost entirely locals with a sprinkling of expats. The DJ ran through R&B from the last twenty years, mixing in some Indonesian pop crossovers that the regulars clearly recognized from the first beat. Service at the bar was fast even with a light crowd. Drink prices came in noticeably below what you'd pay at a comparable SCBD venue, which is the main reason people in Kebayoran Baru come here instead of traveling north.
The venue's position in the Blok M strip means it sits near Jalan Falatehan's bar district, and there's some crossover clientele. A few women work the bar area looking for drink invitations, which is standard for parts of Blok M. The atmosphere doesn't tilt toward that, though; the dance floor stays the main attraction, and the staff don't push it.
Compared to SCBD's nightclubs, My Bar Blok M is smaller, cheaper, and looser on dress code. Compared to Falatehan's bar-strip venues, it is more focused on music and dancing. It occupies a middle register that works for travelers who want a night out without either the expense of SCBD or the full Falatehan bar-hop experience.
