Mrs Sippy Bali

Seminyak, Bali

Mrs Sippy Bali fills a tucked-away compound off Jalan Taman Ganesha with a 25-metre saltwater pool, diving platforms, poolside daybeds, and a DJ booth set against a raised timber deck. The pool is the venue's defining feature, designed for actual swimming rather than posing, with lap-capable depth and platforms that legally allow diving. Day-pass guests mix with daybed and cabana bookings on a tiered system, with minimum spends that scale by proximity to the water. Resident DJs work tropical and deep house from lunchtime into the evening, pushing harder on weekends when day-to-night drinking sessions anchor the programming. The kitchen runs Mediterranean small plates and a full menu of frozen cocktails alongside a standard bar list.

Full Review

Mrs Sippy was designed around its pool, and it shows. The 25-metre saltwater tank dominates the central courtyard, surrounded by timber decking, cabanas at the rear, and daybeds running down both long sides. A pair of diving platforms rise at the deep end, one of the few pools in Bali that actually permits jumping in. The sound system is arranged so the music carries across the deck without dominating conversation, and the DJ booth sits high enough that the crowd can see the set without crowding the booth.

The day runs on a three-tier pass system. General entry gets you pool access and standing room with a redeemable F&B credit, daybeds add seating with a minimum spend, and cabanas give groups a private zone with table service. Staff work the wristband system efficiently and refill frozen cocktails quickly, which matters when the pool empties onto the deck after 16:00. Saturday is the biggest day, with the crowd packing in from lunch onward and the DJ set building through the afternoon. Weekdays are quieter and often more pleasant for swimming.

The food is better than most pool bars, with a Mediterranean-leaning menu that actually rewards ordering. Cocktails lean sweet and rum-heavy, which suits the setting. Compared to Finns in Canggu, Mrs Sippy feels smaller and more social, with less of the bottle-service pressure. Compared to the Seminyak beach clubs, the advantage is the pool itself; there is no ocean view, but there is somewhere to swim.

Book online for weekends at least 24 hours ahead. Arrive by noon if you want the best daybed placement. The frozen-cocktail program is genuinely good, worth skipping the classic list.

The Neighborhood

Mrs Sippy is set back from the main Seminyak strip on a side road off Jalan Taman Ganesha, about 10 minutes by scooter from the Petitenget beach clubs. The surrounding area is residential with few other nightlife venues.

Getting There

A short GoJek or taxi ride from central Seminyak, around 25000 IDR. From the airport count on 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. The entrance sits down a narrow lane with valet parking for scooters and cars at the gate.
